Fall Potluck, September 23

Our Fall Potluck is Tuesday, September 23 at the Monte Sano State Park Lodge, beginning at 4:30. The potluck will feature Mayor Tommy Battle and City Councilman David Little.

Mayor Battle and Councilman Little will speak from 5:30—5:45 and will have a list of questions from the membership. Because of the limited time, there will be no audience Q&A.

The dinner program will start at about 6:35, and features three groups that really came through for Monte Sano during the tornado and the January snowstorm:

• Public Works: Keith Robinson

• Huntsville Utilities (TBD)

• Water Pollution Control (TBD)

We will then hear from other city and local organizations:

• Planning: Mountaineer Dennis Madsen

• Congressman Dale Strong’s Office: District Manager Dylan Smith

• Board of Education: Holly McCarty

• Phoenix Glass Recycling: Moriah Fordham

Each of the guests will speak for 2 to 3 minutes. You can also catch up with them during the various social breaks. Please note that speakers could change at the last minute, or drop out, because of other commitments.
