Holiday Potluck

The annual MSCA holiday potluck will be on Tuesday, December 9 at the Monte Sano State Park lodge, beginning at 5:00 PM. As usual, please bring a dish to share and BYOB. Feel free to dress up or wear you favorite silly holiday sweater! The schedule of events is

• Social period, 5:00—6:00

• Dinner, 6:00—7:30

• Business Meeting, 7:30—8:30

Election of New Board Members

If you are a member of the MSCA in good standing, you should have already received in the mail a ballot for the election of new board members, along with a stamped return envelope. Please vote and return your ballot so that the envelope is postmarked no later than November 21. The results of the election will be announced at the December 9 meeting.

Proposed Bylaw Changes

If you are a member of the MSCA, you will have the opportunity to vote at the December 9 meeting on two proposed bylaw changes, given below. (You can review the current bylaws if necessary.)

Article III, Section 2. Board Terms

Add the following statement: “Any board member completing his or her initial two-year board term and in good standing with membership in the Monte Sano Civic Association can request an additional two-year term to the appropriate year nominating committee and elect to run for another two-year board term.”

Article II, Section 3. MSCA Members

Delete Item 4 entirely and replace with the following statement: “Members who are not residents of Monte Sano mountain are eligible for an associate membership but with no voting rights at the regular membership cost.”
